We have collected 85660 PLN

Francis Banda, our beloved Prince, spent almost 3 years in Kasisi. These were the best three years of his life. This boy, suffering from AIDS, was thrown away like rubbish to live on the margin, bloomed at our House and became a man again.... And what a man he became... His struggle against the illness and heroic passing away, full of will to live, wisedom, humour, but also acceptance of the inevitable showed thousands of people who gathered around him on Facebook that there is no dying- there is LIFE until the end!

Here, in Kasisi Foundation, we truly believe that Frankie stayed with us on Earth for so long to draw people who will stay with his brothers and sisters after his death. We believe that it was his gift for them. He can't give it himself, so let's do it on his behalf. I trust that, through his prayers from Above, Frankie will open people's hearts to fulfill the dreams of 260 remaining residents in Kasisi. We buy food and medicines for the kids and pay school fees. The children don't dare to dream of anything more. However, I know very well how much joy it brought to Frankie when I bought him an extra present, like headphones, an electronic game, a mobile phone, or a nice cross chain. I can't say what gave him more pleasure- the fact that he owned something or that he could share it with his friends. He was so dear to us because all of us in the Kasisi Family have this one thing in common, namely we are happy only when we see happiness on other people's faces...

Today, on the day of his journey to heaven, we are setting up Francis Banda's Fund of Dreams in Kasisi. Please, contribute to it with donations (and good thoughts) of whatever amount you wish, bearing in mind that every penny from the account will go to Kasisi and will bring a super-smile on our children's faces!

The first project financed by the Fund is going to be a trip (for as many kids as possible) to Livingstone and one of the world wonders, the Victoria Falls (the photo above), more than 500 km away from Kasisi. The kids very rarely leave the Home, even for Lusaka, and we would love to show them the beauty of the world and their home country. We would like not only to feed them with kapenta or nshima, but also to inspire their imagination and encourage them to dream! We would like to prove to them  that they are not worse than the others just because the life paths led them to an orphanage. I'm perfectly sure that not only the view of the beautiful waterfalls will make the kids happy as can be but even the coach trip itself!

We will keep you informed about the amount of money we have managed to collect and the date for the first coach to set off. Then, there will be news about next miracles that we will come up with for our kids (Frankie is likely to give us some ideas, too). By means of the Adoption of Heart and Pantry for Kasisi programmes we save children's lives. Here we will pamper them and fulfill their wishes. We will also make up for everything they suffered in life.

Our Dear Kids- Frankie and company are getting into action! :)

******************************************

On the 14th February, almost a year after Frank’s passing away – the “The Found of Dreams” project  created in his name, has shown us how important the Found’s activities  are in our children’s lives – how wonderful fruit those activities have brought – so, we have decided to continue creating a different project called “The Papmerer”, which is an expanding form of Francis Banda’s Found of Dreams and developing its idea. For over a year we of the Found’s work have collected 84 715 PLN. Within “The Pamperer” project you decide yourselves what kind of pleasure You’ll give to the children: shall You take them for a trip, buy a book, a movie, a mascot, an educational toy, the paints or perhaps buy a driving course for the boys or girls , which will be a great fun, but a great help for finding a good job for them in the future as well.

The second  “The Pamperer’s”  novelty is,  that we want to pamper You as well, thanks to the “Joyful and Colourful” – the Loyalty Programme.

We invite You to come to the „The Pamperer”  -  keep fulfilling our children’s  dreams and you’ll pamper yourselves

The Found of Dreams’ web page will still be the sight for detailed trips’ reports and of the children’s smiles caused by all the dreams fulfilling.

The funds of dreams is working really well!

THE NEW BABIES' PLAYROOM IS READY!

Here is our brand new, spit and span, inaugurated by the children playroom for the youngest babies. There are two rooms freshly built – painted and beautifully decorated with stickers! All made by the Kasisi Foundation, which means You. Owing to Your donations! All the smaller or bigger contributions, permanently donated, are so powerful when they come together! :-) This is fantastic, that we can arrange the space, so that the children won’t feel crowded or institutionalized here, so they can have a space for common activities, to work together in small groups or just for themselves alone!

You are Great! Thank You!!!

16.08.2014 THE BONFIRE OF DREAMS HAS KINDLED

If we listed four, the coolest – according to children – bonife’s attractions – they would be:

1. The fizzy drinks, which well shaken, can be brought to someone (for ex. Simon) to be opened and then, the drink fizzes amusingly and splashes all over the person.

2. The sausages and buns.

3. The lollypops and chocolates.

4. The bonfire itself.

The party and the food were the best! Moreover, the last bonfire took place exactly on my first day in Kasisi (3.05.2011 to the day), so it was nostalgic also.

There is something about the sight of children eating calmly and go playing right after – it is something truly comforting, and there you feel that everything’s in right order, that the world goes the right direction.

All of that because of those wonderful Sisters and because of You! Sister Jolcia, looking at the babies playing in the yard, once said: “Just think, if there hadn’t been for Kasisi, the majority of these children, wouldn’t have even been here”. But they are.  We are the lucky and honoured ones to meet them. We can share all the best we’ve got with them. We can all be proud :)

Wodospady Victorii zdobyte!

The Waterfall Reached!!!
YOU MUST SEE IT! IT'S ALL THAKS TO YOU! YOU HAVE FOUNDED  A BRILLIANT WEEKEND FOR THE KIDS!

THE WATERFALL REACHED!!! The company have just had breakfast  and are returning to Kasisi (on the way home one more dinner at a restaurant in Lusaca and more fun).

Looking at the film prepared by Matthew, I have a feeling of restoring the  balance to the world. As a tourist I have been to the waterfalls three times and finally got there those who should. Those to whom this earth belongs, and who in the first place are entitled to this beauty! It's so wonderful that the giraffes and hippos came to see them (hippos, after mosquitoes, are the second most dangerous animals in Africa. We should most fear them when they open their mouth and show you those two teeth- one for drinking water and the other to get toothache). And well... standing in the car park in front of the waterfalls there still is “Mr. Cepelia”, who is tirelessly smiling at all people and playing hits on his xylophone... He is eternal, like the waterfall...

Imagine that the kids, once they got pocket money, rushed to buy gratitude gifts to... Sister Mariola, Father Tadeusz, Matthew and me (we went in your place - they simply wanted to thank all those who took them on this trip... so, of course, we will pass our gifts on to the Foundation and use them for some future programmes). Fortunately, later the kids also bought some little souvenirs for themselves... From Matthew's report:

“You can see that they really are not just joyful, because there is no laughter, unless we provoke them to laugh, but they are deeply shocked with happiness. Everything is new to them and they greedily enjoy it all and they also eat a lot - I do not know where they can hold all the food. These trips are a brilliant idea!”

“What's in the film are all the shots I've got with the waterfalls, firstly, because there was so much water that it flooded us completely, secondly, because right at the beginning a guy in a cape came up to me and said that he would commandeer my camera, because it is not allowed to use it there. As soon as I made fun of him, he pulled up the cape to show me a rifle. It took Father Tadeusz and Sister Mariola a while to convince him that they were locals and in the end he let us go without deleting the contents of the camera.”

It is good that our heroic filmmaker from the Bush did not give up!

Frank, you're doing wonders from heavens! When I look at happy Precious, excited Memo, I think that thanks to Him and to You in one piece of the world there is really MUCH BETTER today! And that's the point. And that's how we act. Step by step, piece by piece, we level evil with the bulldozer of good! Although there may be useful some handy metaphor with a waterfall... I do not know... Anyway- Thanks a LOT! Giving joy is what gives you the most joy, isn't it?

I believe that thanks to you and to the Fund of Dreams, soon we will be able to send the next group of kids to the Victoria Falls...
