We are again opening our doors wide to welcome more kids in need to the Home.
Favour and Henry are brothers. They have not experienced love from those closest to them. They have not learned what it is to be the whole world to someone. They have not known what maternal love is, full of warmth and devotion. The woman who gave birth to them had not matured to be a mother. She locked the boys alone in the house for the whole day. They had nothing to eat or drink. The brothers were severely starved and neglected on the day they were admitted to Kasisi.
They are more kids who will need deep therapy. Sister Mariola, is spending a lot of time getting them to trust adults again, to convince them that the world in which they have functioned so far is not the norm.
We have to teach them to live again. To show them a world where what they feel is important, that we are interested in what happens to them, that they have the right to a carefree childhood.
