Come on, we’ll paint ourselves into a corner!
This is said every week in Kasisi, but it’s nothing to worry about. Every Saturday is a day for developing painting talents, because none other than Patrick Mumba, a well-known Zambian painter, comes to our Home to do a workshop.
And the kids, as you can see, love painting. There is no getting any of them away from the canvas and paints. We couldn’t even get them to smile for a photo. 100% focus on creating little masterpieces.
The kids are spending time developing their artistic sensibilities and we are quietly planning for Christmas. There’s a fundraiser on our website to help little and big artists (and everyone at Kasisi is one!) have a wonderful Christmas. So what do you say, will you paint the town red with us this year?
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
