Two-month-old Andrew is in hospital. His condition is serious. The boy needs your support!
The little one was brought to Kasisi a month ago. He has been feeling unwell for a few days now. The results of the blood tests done in our laboratory in Kasisi are terrible. Fainting, heart problems with a heart rate reaching 200 beats per minute, anaemia and low saturation.
The suspicion for now is sickle cell anaemia, a very serious blood disease that has already affected so many of our kids. Andrew’s condition is so serious that Dr Sahar, Nurse Mariola and our Kasisi nurse Amos have decided to hospitalise him.
Keep your fingers crossed for the boy, and for his heart to endure such an unfairly difficult start in life. His only support now is you. Show him that he is not alone, that we will help him win this uneven battle. He needs both spiritual and material support. Every penny counts now. We will do everything to make sure Andrew pulls through. Stay with us; we will keep you updated on the boy’s condition.
One of the aunties is with Andrew in the hospital and will be by his side 24/7.
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
