We’re thrilled to share the news—our children are GETTING BETTER!!!
Today, Blessing was back to her usual mischief, laughing and playing on the swings with her preschool gang. Their joyful shouts echoed across Kasisi. That’s exactly how we love it—a loud, lively home is the best sign our children are healthy and full of energy.
In the evening, we visited little John. The diarrhea and weakness he struggled with for days have completely disappeared. He greeted us with a radiant smile, as if to say, “Why were you even worried?”
Tonight, Kasisi falls asleep peacefully, and it’s all thanks to you. The fully stocked supplies of IV drips and ready-to-use cannulas were there when we needed them most—because of your support. When a virus hit all our babies at once, IV fluids were used by the liter every day. For these tiny children, especially in scorching 30-degree heat, diarrhea poses a deadly risk.
Maintaining a constant stock of IV fluids is vital. It’s just like having an ambulance, an incubator, a microscope or essential medicines—though they’re not used daily, they must always be ready. With so many children, you never know when an emergency will strike, and there’s no time for logistics; everything must be immediately available to save lives. Thanks to you, our hospital shelves are once again filled with IV drips .
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
