Gift was born with a severe cleft lip and palate. From the very beginning, we knew he would need a challenging surgery. We had to wait over a year for him to reach the right weight. Along the way, we faced a few crises together, as he kept losing weight instead of gaining it. Baby porridge, which we were able to bring to Kasisi thanks to your generosity, made a huge difference.

A few days ago, we received the wonderful news that Gift was finally ready for surgery. This morning, the doctors took him to the operating room. It’s all done now. Gift is resting and sleeping peacefully. He was so brave. We can’t wait to see his reaction when he’s able to drink and eat properly for the first time.

Meanwhile, our other little warrior, Blessing, is recovering after her life-saving surgery. Our brave girl, whom we were so worried about, is adjusting surprisingly well to her new reality. Sometimes, she even behaves as if she can still see. We’re now waiting for the histopathology results to find out more about the type of tumor she had and the next steps in her treatment.

Thank you so much for always being there for us. For every prayer and warm thought sent for Gift and Blessing. Your support gives us the strength to face these moments, knowing we’re never alone ❤️
