We have another dream and we strongly believe that you can make it come true! We want to create a real sensory integration room in Kasisi. Thanks to you we already have some special toys, but there are still many missing. Thanks to such aids as a light box, sensory floor, colour screen, rehabilitation balls, sensory discs or new musical instruments we will be able to support the proper development of the senses of sight, hearing and touch in our kids. Why is this so important?
Many of the children in Kasisi were born prematurely, in difficult circumstances, sometimes after suffering various traumas and domestic violence. The burden of their experiences has a strong impact on their physical and mental health. In addition to rehabilitation, many of them need sensory integration therapy. Reduced muscle tone, proprioception disorders, balance problems, poor psychomotor skills, concentration problems – these are just the tip of the iceberg of struggles they face every day. Without professional help today, they will have problems in the future. And we want them to have no problems with learning and to have the same opportunities as their peers.
All therapeutic aids, which we worked out together with our delegate to Kasisi, therapist Kasia Stęgowska, amount to 8900 PLN. This price also includes transport to Zambia. We will buy toys in Poland, because it is simply impossible to get them there.
We can already see the first effects of Kasia’s hard work. We can also see how much she needs new tools. That’s why we are strongly counting on you! Help us to equip the sensory integration room and fight for the future of our kids!
