Kasisi Foundation is celebrating its EIGHTH birthday today! It all started on April 11, 2013, when we officially began to support missionaries in their work. We’ve been at their side since then.
The first thing we did was purchase an ambulance (remember?). Shortly thereafter we launched several projects, including Adoptions from the Heart – an initiative that has allowed us to provide medical care, housing, education at the best schools and a happy, nurturing environment to the many children under our care. Perhaps most importantly, this project has allowed us to virtually eliminate preventable child mortality. In these eight years, we have transferred more than 12 million PLN to Kasisi from your donations.
Your generosity has allowed us to renovate homes for the children and continue to build out the space to accommodate an ever-growing number of residents. We have also purchased specialist medical equipment for the on-site hospital. With your support, the entire facility has undergone a radical transformation since 2013. Thank you!
The smiles on these children’s faces are all thanks to you – your support, your trust in us, and your dedication to creating a happy, nurturing space for the more than 200 residents. We hope to be there for them for many more years to come.
And what better way to celebrate our birthday than by giving a loving home to yet another rejected child. Meet Nosik, a two-month old who’s been with us for three weeks. The only thing we know about her is that she was abandoned in the hospital by her mentally ill mother. Nosik’s story begins at Kasisi, where she is in good hands.
Visit our pantry where you will find a birthday cake (for the residents of Kasisi, of course, not us!) and a special birthday promotion. For each Purchase for Kasisi made through Monday (April 11-12) your Heart for a Heart points will be doubled. Not only will you bring joy to the children of Kasisi, you will also increase your chances of receiving a unique gift from Africa.
Thank you for being there for us!
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
