When they were born, they were the talk of the town. Front page news, TV programs, interviews with their parents. Fame from their first days of life. Patience, Philip, and Paul, the triplets whose birth caused a sensation in Zambia. Everyone wanted to see them, talk to their parents, congratulate them, and somehow be part of their lives. The parents received tremendous support from people and various organizations. It seemed that the famous triplets would have a life filled with ease and happiness…
However, every story eventually fades from the spotlight. After a while, people forgot about the kids, and the costs of raising them overwhelmed the parents. That’s when Sister Mariola stepped in, offering support. For a long time, she provided funds for their most urgent needs. Just as things were starting to get back on track, the triplets’ father fell ill. Their mother couldn’t cope with the overwhelming responsibilities, so Sister Mariola suggested taking the children to Kasisi so she could care for her sick husband. The mother initially refused. However, after her husband died, she came to us to accept the help Sister Mariola had previously offered. The death of her husband and the prospect of raising three young children alone was too much for her. She knew that Kasisi would provide the best care for them, allowing her to get back on her feet and, once her situation gets better, reunite with her children.
For now, it is our task to give them a peaceful and happy childhood. We believe that, with your help, as always, we can succeed. We invite you today to join the adoptive family of Patience, Paul, and Philip
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
