Is there anyone who doesn’t like cuddles? Our children absolutely love it!
In the morning, Jousha took the opportunity to fall into the arms of Sister Jańcia. Blessing, Nosiku and Mercy could not miss such an opportunity either. There was no question of letting Sister Jańcia out of baby land until each of them got their cuddles. And the benefit is always mutual – after such a dose of warmth and love, the sister’s energy level doubles at once, leaving a smile on her face for the whole day, which is what we wish for you today!
Zambia is in the middle of the rainy season. As is typical for this time of year, the sky is blazing with heat, accompanied by thunderstorms and heavy rains. And even though everyone is happy to get every drop essential to harvest this year’s crops, at the Home every now and then one of the children visits the doctor’s office with a cold, sore throat or fever. And you know how it is with children’s illnesses – one little one coughs and soon the whole group is in bed. Fortunately, Dr Constance is on duty every day, and she is able to help just in time with the right medicines. Of course, we have these thanks to you!
What we need most today is a solid supply of vitamins to strengthen the little bodies, painkillers to allow the children to sleep peacefully tonight, or a set of tests so that we can diagnose the little ones more quickly. Can you help?
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
