Our kids are taking over the airspace! 鉁堬笍
Remember how we used to tell you that the sky is the limit? Well then there are no more limits for our kids from Kasisi, only the stars remain 馃槈 .
There was plenty of excitement at take-off. The children, almost glued to the windows, shouted in delight every few seconds:
“Kasisi is so tiny from here! The cars look like my toys! If I had wings like an aeroplane, would I fly like this too?”
And we think to ourselves that yes – because you give wings to these kids every day, whether by donating a bar of chocolate, buying a book for the library or finally deciding to adopt. That way, the children can literally and figuratively reach for the stars. They make plans about things that were recently impossible – about long-distance trips, about helping others when they grow up (you know, everyone, inspired by James and Eva, wants to be a doctor 馃槈 ). About how maybe one day they’ll visit Poland, and then come back to visit the most important of their aunties, Sister Mariola.
With you, we know that anything is possible – even sky-high voyages. Who knows, maybe this year the majority will decide to become pilots 馃槈 .
Just in case, we urge you to take a trip to the pantry today, because the energy for learning and bold plans requires a healthy calorie count: a basket of vegetables or fruit is the greatest gift you can give them today. And we promise there’s no frowning down upon any greens here.
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today鈥攆rom right here, from your own home.
