The weather in Kasisi is definitely better than in Poland, yet our kids will need some warmth from us this weekend! It started with a decreased appetite (even for beloved sweets!) and ended at House of Hope. It turned out that Joseph is ill with tonsillitis and James with mumps. Although, as you can see from the photo, he is taking it like a little champion!
Both boys have been isolated from the other children in the Kasisi hospital, but even there, there is no room for sorrow. They know that from early morning Sister Mariola has been preparing their favourite blueberry jam. None tastes like the one based on ‘Mamusha’s’ Polish recipe!
You know how it is with children’s illnesses – one kid coughs and in no time the whole group ends up in bed. That is why we are asking you for even the smallest support for our emergency unit, so that we are prepared to provide help at any time. Donate vitamins to strengthen their little bodies, painkillers, which will allow the children to sleep peacefully at night, or a set of tests that will allow us to diagnose the children faster!
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
