We have known for a long time that Kasisi has friends in high places. This time, however, with their fervent prayer, the children, the sisters and all the staff performed a real miracle. They dragged Sister Janina back to life from the moment when she was already standing on the edge, and right on the edge of it.
A massive pulmonary embolism. One that came as a surprise, as embolisms tend to do. When the news broke that Sister Janina had been taken to hospital in a serious condition, we were all stunned. It was bad. Very bad. The doctors were running out of options. There was only one injection left. A dose of a drug, under the title “last hope”. They administered the only one in the entire facility. All that was left was to wait.
Meanwhile, in Kasisi, everyone wanted to save Sister Jancia, so the prayers to heaven started. The whole story ends well. In fact, it is only today that we are breathing freely (Sister Janina too) and only today that we are able to remember those difficult moments of a few days ago.
Sister Janina returns home, where today, on this occasion, there is a real feast of thanksgiving. There is joy, tears, pure, crystalline happiness.
Welcome home Sister Janina!!! We have been waiting for you very much!
P.S. Although it would seem that Jancia’s great return from hospital has overshadowed the feast we are celebrating today ( the birthday of the Sister Director). In fact, for Sister Mariola, it is the best present she could have dreamed of. We know this from secret sources. Today the whole of Kasisi is celebrating being reunited!
Happy Birthday, Sister Mariola!
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
