The holidays are over! Time to go back to school! Given that last school year was, for reasons that are well known, in a gridlock, no one is protesting about meeting up with their friends again and returning to the classrooms.
For us, the new school year meant preparing 151 school kits. For Sister Mariola, it also meant talking to the heads of schools expecting new students and booking buses for them to arrive on time. Today the sister set off alone in the middle of the night with one of the groups. Some of the students study in the far north of the country, some in its western part. All of them in the most prestigious facilities which, we hope, will open many doors for them.
Can you imagine such a huge logistical undertaking? Shopping as per the list sent by the schools (each one different), packing, laundry, ironing, haircuts etc..
We would like to invite you to be part of all the commotion! After all, these are your kids, and Monday is a very important day for them!!! Support those who are the most anxious! Anyone who can, drop by our shop today with school supplies and necessary educational aids. Let’s equip them well for this journey!!!
School and boarding fees are, of course, funded by you, taking a large financial burden off the sisters’ shoulders. So far the school expenses have cost us almost 100,000 PLN. But you know how it is, something unexpected always comes up at the last minute. Someone will remember about crayons, another about pyjamas or a wheel in a suitcase will break off. That’s life.
Join in the big commotion and you will see how much fun it can be. In the midst of all this hurly-burly of things to do, there is, above all, the pride that they are all so grown up. Not so long ago, they were still kindergarten pupils, today they are in the starting blocks of the race to make their dreams come true.
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
