– She didn’t even have the strength to cry – Sister Mariola recalls Anastazja’s first days at Kasisi.
When she arrived, she was in a state of exhaustion and extreme malnutrition. Instead of joining the other children in a cozy room, she was placed in the small Kasisi hospital, which quickly became an intensive care unit. Doctors gave her no chance of survival. They wanted Anastazja to spend her final days at Kasisi, surrounded by love and care. However, the Sisters do not need prognoses in percentages to give their all for every child. We fought for even just one day more. From those days, a beautiful childhood has accumulated. Anastazja has turned 8 years old!!!
Without Kasisi, without all the food you provide to the Pantry, including therapeutic milk, Anastazja would not be going to school. She simply would not be here with us. Her story is the best proof that where the situation seems hopeless and others lose hope and faith, there are the Sisters and you. That’s how your love for children works.
We want to continue fighting for every little one. We are waiting for another 14 children who will soon live in Kasisi. The Sisters will surround them with love, care, and provide the help they need. Let’s give them the tools to do this, to save them and give them the best possible childhood. Today, we really need full shelves in the Kasisi pantry. Will you help? ❤️
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
