How am I doing?

JULY 2024
Eveline is currently in her final year of medical studies in Poland, which is an exceptionally intense and demanding period for her. She dedicates herself to studies with great commitment, spending long hours with her books. She is very pleased with how her studies are progressing, and so are we!
AUGUST 2023
These visits were awaited by everyone, but most of all by Eva herself. It had been 2 long years since her last stay at the Home. Our student had to finish all the formalities of her stay in Poland in order to return to her studies after the summer holidays for - ATTENTION - her 5th year of medicine!!! But we are so proud of Eva! She is going like a storm, passing all her exams on her first attempt. She has spent the last few months in the surgery department doing her internship. Every time we talk, she thanks us for making her dream come true. Although it can be hard and sometimes you have to study through the night, she endures all difficulties very bravely. Somewhere on the horizon, the finish line is starting to become visible. After hugging everyone, Eva immediately ran to the nurse's office to find out as much as possible about the children who are now being treated. First thing in the morning, our little charges will get their medication, as they do every day. Eva has already announced that she will be waiting for them in the surgery.
JULY 2022

Medicine is her passion. She passed all her exams at the first attempt. She is going like a storm. She is already a fourth-year student.

JULY 2019
Amazing news - Eveline is now officially a student at the Collegium Medicum at the Nicolaus Copernicus University - Medical Faculty in Bydgoszcz, Poland!! :) Eveline grew up in Kasisi. After finishing high school she decided to go to nursing school, which she graduated from with honors. Since then she's been working full-time as nurse in our House. She is excellent at her job and is committed to further developing her medical knowledge. Sister Mariola persuaded her to take a chance at studying in Poland rather than in Zambia. Our foundation was happy to help her out on this journey. She's been in Poland for the past few days, where, following a bit of sightseeing, she passed the entrance exams for medical school in Bydgoszcz. She is still planning to take entrance exams at the University of Gdansk. If she passes, she will have to make a choice between two universities, although it seems like Bydgoszcz is currently her top pick. We'd like to thank everyone who made Eveline's dream come true - it is because of your support that Eveline can go to sleep at night knowing that in just a few years, she will be able to call herself a doctor. Thank you!
AUGUST 2018
Eveline grew up in Kasisi. She was brought here after losing both parents. Eveline has always done well in school. She loves writing in her diary and is a huge bookworm. Cheerful and optimistic, she wears her heart on her sleeve. Today, she is about to enter into adulthood and start the life she has been dreaming about. She spent the last few years in a nursing school in Zambia. She graduated and is now awaiting placement in a government hospital in Zambia. In the meantime, she is with us where she helps out in the treatment room. She is an example to the younger children that dreams can come true.

Urgent help needed

Passport to the Future – Donate a School Starter Kit

A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
