This young girl, along with her sisters Grace and Tadiwa, went through difficult times before finding their way to our HOME. Their mother, ill and unemployed, was in a difficult situation and couldn’t care for them alone. Faced with the need for a prolonged hospital stay, she made the painful but thoughtful decision to entrust the girls to Good Samaritans. They, in turn, sought help from social services, ensuring the sisters’ well-being and providing them with a safe haven at Kasisi. Thanks to this decision, the girls found themselves in a secure and loving home, where we surround them with daily care and attention. We believe that, though separated from their mother now, they will be together again someday once she is back on her feet.
A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
