Phillip 9 y/o

14
Birthday: 01.01.2015
With Kasisi since: 24.05.2017

Philip was abandoned one night on a street in Lusaka. When he came under our care, he was in a very poor state—suffering from tuberculosis and severe malnutrition, which had led to starvation sickness. His health required immediate and intensive medical attention. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our doctors, we are now happy to say that Philip is a healthy and smiling child. He is undoubtedly one of the most communicative and sociable people at Kasisi. He is also a talented artist. His artistic abilities continue to develop, and he spends many hours painting and drawing. When Philip is not engrossed in his artistic passion, you can find him on the field, energetically and passionately playing soccer.

How am I doing?

JULY 2023

Philip is undoubtedly one of the most communicative personalities in Kasisi. His conversations are so rich and detailed that you can completely lose track of time through them. But this is not his only skill. Philip is also a talented artist and continues to develop his artistic talents. When he's not immersed in painting or drawing, you're bound to find him on the pitch, where he passionately plays football. And if not there, he is probably in the dining room - for the boy has an incredible appetite and loves to snack between meals. He is in the first grade.

FEBRUARY 2022
Philip is doing well. He likes going to school and studying. He spends his free time playing football and playing with his friends.
MAY 2021
He is in first grade and is healthy. Nobody has ever looked for him. He has artistic skills and likes drawing very much. He loves the Saturday art classes.
MAY 2019
He is calm and serious. He has a strong character and knows what he wants.
APRIL 2018
Philip is responding well to treatment with retroviral drugs. We have managed to stop the tuberculosis in its tracks, and Philip is well on his way to beating the illness.
JUNE 2017
This little boy is a trooper! He was sick with malnutrition and tuberculosis. He has made a full comeback after a hospital stay and, these days, Philip is smiling.

Urgent help needed

Passport to the Future – Donate a School Starter Kit

A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
